Night time paving on Cornell Road in Cedar Mill August 6 and 9.
Media release

For Immediate Release: Thursday, July 30, 2009

Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation

Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation will be doing night time paving on Murray and Cornell in Cedar Mill on Thursday August 6th and Friday August 7th from 8pm to 6am. This work may cause up to 20 minute delays. The public is encouraged to use alternate routes. Message boards are up and flaggers will be on site helping direct traffic.

This improvement project is reconstructing a vital Cedar Mill intersection. Murray Boulevard north of Highway 26 (Sunset Highway) is being widened to four lanes, with turn lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks and landscaping. Turn lanes are being added to Cornell Road, along with a new traffic signal at Cornell and Science Park Drive. Bike lanes, sidewalks, street lighting and landscaping are also included. This project is funded by county property taxes through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
