Nighttime paving continues on 158th Avenue

Nighttime paving work will continue on 158th Avenue, between Walker Road and the Merlo Avenue MAX station, from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Aug. 21-25. 

The road surface removal and paving is being done at night to reduce impacts on traffic. Traffic signals on 158th Avenue at Baseline Road, Jay Street and Jenkins Road will be shut down during paving, with flaggers directing traffic. Expect delays; travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The work is one of the final stages of the 158th Avenue project , which widened the road to five travel lanes, two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. The project, including permanent striping, is expected to be completed by Sept. 28. All dates are estimates and subject to change.
