Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on October 3 for the upcoming Scholls Ferry Road improvement project. The event will be held at Scholls Heights Elementary, 16400 SW Loon Drive, Beaverton. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to learn more about the project’s proposed design. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions and solicit feedback.

This project will widen the existing two and three lane section of Scholls Ferry Road between Roy Rogers Road and Teal Boulevard to five lanes. Additional improvements include bicycle lanes, sidewalks, street lighting, storm drainage and other safety improvements. Construction is anticipated to begin late spring 2013 with completion by December 2014.

Funding for this project is provided by the county’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
