Comment on the Roy Rogers Road Improvement Project at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the Sherwood Police Department Community Room, 20495 SW Borchers Drive.

The project team will be available to answer questions and gather input from the public about design alternatives for Roy Rogers Road, between Borchers Drive and Chicken Creek.

No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours. Comments and questions may also be sent to [email protected].

Roy Rogers Road will be widened, between Chicken Creek and Borchers Drive, to five lanes. Improvements include:

  • Five travel lanes (one lane in each direction and a center turn lane)
  • Bike lanes
  • Sidewalks
  • Storm drainage
  • Street lighting

The estimated $14 million project is funded through the County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). Construction is expected to begin in summer 2021 and continue through the summer 2023.

This project is being coordinated with the Willamette Water Supply Program to install a 66-inch drinking water line in conjunction with road improvements.
