Media release

For Immediate Release: Thursday, April 04, 2013

Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation, Capital Project Services Division

Update: Due to a wet weather front moving in tomorrow, April 10, final paving will need to be extended through Friday, April 12.

Original Release:
Washington County’s Department of Land Use & Transportation plans to pave Scholls Ferry Road from Allen Boulevard to Denney Road between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 through Thursday, April 11. The paving work is associated with the county's project to replace the Fanno Creek Bridge.

The paving work will require periodic shutdowns of the traffic signals at the Scholls Ferry/Allen and Scholls Ferry/Denney intersections. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers when the signals are shut down. While a single lane of traffic will generally remain open on Scholls Ferry Road during paving, delays of up to 20 minutes should be anticipated. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.

This work is weather dependent and conditions must be appropriate for paving to occur. The public’s patience is greatly appreciated as we work towards completing this project.
