The public is invited to comment on additional improvements to Springville Road at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Portland Community College (PCC) Rock Creek Campus Event Center, Building 9, 17705 NW Springville Road.

County staff will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned; stop by anytime during open house hours.

This second phase of improvements will include widening of Springville Road between 181st Avenue and the PCC campus to five lanes: two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. The PCC entrance will be realigned with 178th Avenue in a signalized intersection to improve traffic flow and safety.

Additional improvements include continuous bicycle lanes and sidewalks along both sides of the road, safety enhancements at intersections, continuous street lighting, roadway drainage improvements and some landscaping.
