UPDATE: The Morgan Road closure has been delayed until May to allow the contractor to complete preliminary work. The eventual closure involve raising the grade of Morgan Road to meet the new Tonquin Road alignment, part of the 124th Avenue Project.

The Morgan Road closure has been delayed until May to allow the contractor to complete preliminary work. The eventual closure involve raising the grade of Morgan Road to meet the new Tonquin Road alignment, part of the 124th Avenue Project.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:
Morgan Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, through 5 a.m. Monday, April 10, at Tonquin Road so contractors can raise the grade of Morgan Road to meet the new Tonquin Road alignment.

Traffic will be detoured to Tonquin, Murdock and Baker roads. There will be intermittent lane closures on Tonquin, but the road will remain open.

Tonquin Road improvements are part of the 124th Avenue expansion between Tualatin-Sherwood and Grahams Ferry roads. The new section of 124th Avenue will open in late 2017. Improvements to Tonquin and Grahams Ferry roads will be completed in 2018.
