Board approves FY 2025-26 Road Maintenance Program

The Road Maintenance Program outlines our road maintenance activities.

The document outlining the Department of Transportation (LUT) planned road maintenance activities was approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners during its regular meeting Tuesday, June 17.

The FY 2025-26 Road Maintenance Programfocuses on preventative maintenance, which extends the life of infrastructure and saves tax dollars. Highlights include:

  • Six major culvert replacements performed by contractors
  • 12 major culvert replacements performed by LUT road crews
  • 1,700 miles of shoulder vegetation clearing and trimming
  • 28 miles of gravel road surface stabilization
  • 24 miles of slurry seal in the Urban Road Maintenance District
  • 11 miles of chip seal paving
