Relevant topics on the agenda include independent living, transportation, housing, protection and advocacy and veteran's issues.  Many of the candidates running for election in Washington County this November will be attending including legislative candidates Senator Bruce Starr, Senator Betsy Johnson, Representative Chuck Riley, Senator Suzanne Bonamici, Katie Riley, Katie Eyre Brewer.  Candidates for County Commissioner who have committed so far include Greg Malinowski in District 2, Greg Mecklam and Bob Terry both in District 4. All legislative and commissioner candidates have been invited; more are expected to confirm their appearance soon.

"This will be a great opportunity for residents to gain knowledge of the candidate's viewpoints on issues that are important to our seniors and veterans before making a decision on who to vote for in November" says Jeff Hill, Director for the Area Agency on Aging for Washington County.

Patricia Maberry, the chair for the Aging and Veteran Services Advisory Council said, "I think it is important to emphasize that this forum will give our residents the opportunity to see both parties at the table."
