Rebecca Miller named head of Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services

Rebecca Miller was recently hired to lead Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services (DAVS), a division of the Department of Health and Human Services. Miller replaces Mjere Simantel, who was promoted to the department’s assistant director.

Miller most recently served as planning and development specialist for Multnomah County’s Area Agency on Aging, managing the development of the department’s strategic plan and leading a community engagement process that received a National Area Agency on Aging Innovation Award. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in women’s studies from University of Oregon and her master’s in public administration and a graduate certificate of gerontology from Portland State University. She was also a 2014 PSU Hatfield Fellow.

Miller lives in Beaverton with her husband and twin teenagers.
