Property Tax Exemption

Property Tax Exemption info for developers that partner with the Housing Authority of Washington County to provide affordable housing.

Nonprofits and charitable institutions with rental property affordable to households at 60% MFI and under in unincorporated Washington County may be eligible for property tax exemption. There is an annual application process for property tax exemption that typically begins in February, with applications due in March. If you have questions, please email [email protected].

Participation by HAWC or its wholly owned affiliate in a Limited Partnership may make property eligible for ad valorem tax exemption pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 307.092.
