Building Services, Development Review closing to the public week of July 3

The lobby for Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation Building Services and Development Review/Current Planning will be closed for in-person services from July 3-7.
Media release

The Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation Building Services and Development Review/Current Planning lobby will be closed for in-person services from July 3-7 so staff can catch up on applications and update computer systems for new fees for permits and applications submitted after July 1.

Online and phone services and in-person appointments will continue during this time, and staff will be working in the office. The lobby is normally open for in-person services Mondays-Thursdays and closed on Fridays. With the July 4 holiday, this closure will only involve three additional business days.

“We realize that losing three business days could be disruptive for our customers,” said Erin Wardell, Manager, LUT Planning and Development Services Division. “But without this closure, it would be extremely difficult for us to serve our customers in a timely, efficient manner given the fee increase implementation. We have limited staff vacations during this closure to ensure work is completed as quickly as possible.”

Building Services and Development Review/Current Planning offices are in Suite 350 (third floor) of the Public Services Building, 155 N 1st Ave., Hillsboro. Visit Building Services and Development Review/Current Planning for information about online services.
