Development Review/Current Planning

We work with developers, consultants and the public to make sure work is done safely and correctly. We review all development proposals to make sure they meet requirements in the Community Development Code, which regulates land use and development activities in unincorporated Washington County.

Lobby closed for In-person Services

Building Services, Development Review/Current Planning and Long Range Planning will be closed for in-person services Dec. 24-26, 2025, and Jan. 1-2, 2026. Online and phone services and in-person appointments will continue, and staff will be working in the office.

LOBBY/IN-PERSON SERVICE HOURS: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Closed to in-person services Friday. Most of our services are available remotely - online, by phone or via U.S. Mail - 24 hours/day, seven days a week. See Office Locations and Business Hours.
