These Urban Road Maintenance District Pedestrian and Biking Improvement Program projects call for sidewalk installation on the following County roads:
- 179th Avenue, Ivy Glenn Drive to Farmington Road. (CPO 6)
- Springville Road, Kaiser Road to Samuel Drive. (CPO 7)
- Rosa Road, Farmington Road to 198th Avenue. (CPO 6)
- Rigert Road, Charlotte Drive to Bryan Way. (CPO 6)
- Madeline Street, 180th Avenue to 192nd Avenue. (CPO 6)
- 185th Avenue, Burnsridge Park to Bethel Court. (CPO 6)
- Ecole Avenue, Jenkins Road to Brightwood Street. (CPO 1)
- West Union and Thompson roads, Bronson Creek Drive to 153rd Terrace. (CPOs 1 and 7)
URMDAC selected the projects from 27 top pedestrian and biking candidates following a public comment period.
"The proposed projects generated over 420 public comments, a really impressive response from the citizens of Washington County," said Bonnie Hadley, URMDAC chair. "The advisory committee thanks the public for their input."
The pedestrian and bicycling improvement projects will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval as part of the annual work program and budget process.
Since 2011, the Urban Road Maintenance District has funded more than 40 pedestrian and biking improvements totaling more than $14 million.
