At its February meeting, the Urban Road Maintenance District Advisory Committee recommended the following six safety improvement projects for funding in fiscal year 2015-2016:
- Pedestrian path on Rock Creek Boulevard from house #20175 to Rock Creek Drive (CPO 7)
- Pedestrian path on 90th Avenue from Stark to SW Leahy (CPO 1)
- Pedestrian path on Kinnaman Road to fill gaps from house #20660 to 200th (CPO 6)
- Pedestrian path on 113th Avenue from Anderson to Rainmont (CPO 1)
- Pedestrian path on 174th Avenue from Park View Drive to Bethany Elementary School entrance (CPO 7)
- Pedestrian path on Bull Mountain Road to fill gaps from Grandview Lane to 133rd (CPO 4B)
The committee selected from Minor Betterment Program candidates that were eligible for safety improvement funding through the Urban Road Maintenance District. The committee considered public comments submitted during a six-week public outreach as well as public input presented at their February 18 meeting.
After review by Department of Land Use & Transportation staff, these URMD Safety Improvement projects will be included in the 2015-2016 Road Maintenance Program presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval in June.
