The Washington County area is experiencing rain, snow and a mix of both, according to the National Weather Service.

As of 4 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 5), snowfall was moderate, except on Timber Road where snow was falling heavily. Crews were plowing and sanding throughout much of the afternoon. Plowing on Gales Creek and Thatcher roads started late afternoon in response to reports that roads in western Washington County in the Forest Grove area were slushy. A crew will be out checking priority routes starting at 7 p.m. Worst case scenario, plowing will continue throughout the night. Best case scenario, there will be little to no need for plows after midnight.

Two roads - 209th Avenue, south of TV Highway, and Kaiser Road at 147th Avenue - are partially restricted due to high water. Roads impacted by winter weather and/or flooding will be posted here. Information will also be available on Twitter at @WashCoRoads. For regional alerts, visit www.publicalerts.org.
