The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is replacing the Cornelius Pass Road bridge over Rock Creek in cooperation with Washington County.
The bridge was built in 1946 and not designed to handle freight traffic. We are replacing it with a single-span bridge with two vehicle lanes and wide shoulders.
Construction start (expected): April 2026
Construction finish (expected): October 2026
Update
4/9/2026: Tree removal is planned April 21-22 with lane closures 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. A full road closure planned July 15-Sept. 29.
