We are improving the intersection to keep up with the types of travelers using these roads. The project will improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
This project includes:
- Adding dedicated turn lanes from southbound 25th Avenue onto Cornell Road
- Adding bicycle lanes
- Updating street lights and traffic signals

Update
4/22/20245: The northbound lane of 25th Avenue will be closed north of Cornell Road May 5-16. Detour
Northbound 25th Avenue will not be accessible from the Cornell Road intersection.
Detour to Brookwood Parkway and Evergreen Road.
Cornell Road will remain open; traffic signals will remain active.
Expect intermittent lane closures 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays on Cornell Road and 25th Avenue within 1500 feet of the intersection. Expect delays.
