We will rebuild the roadway through a process called full depth reclamation. Full depth reclamation is a process that crushes roadways that have reached the end of their life cycle. The materials are recycled on-site to rebuild strong, cost-effective roads.
Work will result in two, two-week road closures. The first closure will be south of the entrance to the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. The second will be north of the entrance. Signed detours around the closures will be provided.
This project was originally scheduled for summer 2025. It was postponed due to early wet weather. It is now scheduled for Fall 2025 to take place after the Old Pumpkin Ridge Road Culvert Replacement.
Construction start (expected): Aug. 11, 2025
Construction finish (expected): Sept. 16, 2025
Update
9/17/2025: Old Pumpkin Ridge Road has reopened. This project is substantially complete. There may brief traffic impacts as the contractor completes final tasks.
