Onsite Septic Connection / Repair or Replacement Program

Homeowners in Washington County making under 80% of the median family income (see table) may qualify for grant funds that in many cases will cover the entire cost for connection, or cost of septic system repair or replacement in circumstances where a connection is not feasible. Homeowners who make over 80% of the median family income still qualify for up to $5,000 in grants to connect to existing sewer lines if they currently have a septic system.

Applications will be prioritized according to several criteria such as number of sewer hookups needed in a neighborhood and income level/need. Sewer connection projects will generally be prioritized over septic replacement or repair projects.
