Cooperative CORS Data - Base Station - JIME

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Continuously Operating Reference Stations Network provide Global Navigation Satellite System data, supporting 3-D positioning, meteorology, space weather and geophysical applications.

Surveyors, GIS users, engineers, scientists and others who collect GPS/GNSS data use NCN data acquired at fiducial geodetic control stations. People use the data to improve the precision of their positions and align their work within the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS). NCN enhanced post-processed coordinate accuracies can approach a few centimeters, both horizontally and vertically.

The CORS network is a cooperative effort involving government, academic and private organizations. The sites are independently owned and operated. Each agency shares its data with NGS. NGS analyzes and distributes the data free of charge. As 2014, the CORS network had over 1,900 stations, contributed by over 200 different organizations.
