The Housing Authority of Washington County purchased the Aloha Quality Inn in Washington County to convert the property into 54 apartments using a Permanent Supportive Housing model.

Change of Address

Our new location as of 09/12/2022 is Adams Crossing at 161 NW Adams Ave, Suite 2000, MS 63, Hillsboro, OR 97124. The lobby is located on the 2nd floor and we look forward to welcoming you!

The Housing Authority of Washington County purchased the Aloha Quality Inn in January 2021 after approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners in December 2020 to convert the property into 54 units that utilize a Permanent Supportive Housing model to house formerly homeless individuals. This model combines affordable housing assistance with voluntary support services to address the needs of people experiencing homelessness. The services are designed to build independent living and life skills and connect people with community-based health care, treatment and employment services. This approach has reduced costs associated with the use of crisis services such as shelters and hospitals.

Heartwood Commons Permanent Supportive Housing officially opens in March 2023, and we have partnered with Bienestar, Community Partners for Affordable Housing, and Sequoia Mental Health to provide services for residents on-site, and Cascade Property Management to ensure security and maintenance. This project was made possible through voter approved housing measures: the regional 2018 Affordable Housing Bond and 2020 Supportive Housing Services Levy.

For community members who had questions about Heartwood Commons, the County conducted a virtual community meeting on February 21, 2023. It was facilitated via zoom and has been recorded.
