  • Housing navigation: Help to overcome housing barriers, find housing, and navigate housing placement;

  • Housing retention: Support tailored to each household to help address financial, medical and other needs that ensure housing stability;

  • Resident services: Staff who work in affordable apartment buildings to support the overall needs of residents;

  • Wrap-around supports: Additional programs such as peer services, supported employment, and benefits advocacy to support the whole wellbeing of each participant.

What does wrap-around support look like?

Family

Kahneeta Atkin was living in transitional housing with her husband and two children until she was approved for permanent housing, thanks to regional long-term rental assistance (RLRA).

"I’d say without this program, I don’t know where we’d be right now," Kahneeta says.

Atkin has been clean and sober for four years now, working a part-time job and going to school to help other people struggling with addiction.

"It’s great to wake up in your own house and know it’s just you, and you don’t have to worry about anyone else or what they’re going through. To know that you’re OK and you’re going to be OK," said Atkin.
