Warning: Scam Targeting Washington County Permit Applicant

Washington County has had reports of scammers sending fraudulent emails asking customers to wire money for project approval. Washington County will never request wire transfers for permits or payments.

If you receive an unexpected payment request, do not respond. Call 503-846-3470 to verify.

Fees for the following applications can be paid online using the Public Permitting and Services Portal. First-time users need to create an account. Watch the How-to-Register video:

  • Pre-application Conference requests
  • Flood Plain Information requests
  • Drainage Hazard Assessments
  • Template tests
  • Type I applications

Once applications are submitted and processed, automated emails will be sent with a link to the payment portal.

Type II and III land use applications must include the required fee at the time of submittal. We accept:

  • Checks: Payable to Washington County
  • Credit cards/debit cards (VISA, MasterCard or Discover): Payments may be made in person during office hours: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Applications will not be processed until full payment is received.
