Fulfilling the Community's Vision
Tualatin Valley Trail Preferred Alignment Options and Nearby Connections
We are planning a future regional trail in the Aloha area to connect Beaverton, Aloha, Hillsboro and the greater Portland region with the Oregon Coast. This trail has been a topic of community discussions for decades.
The Journey
The Tualatin Valley Trail Concept Plan includes results of a study to select the preferred trail route. The trail design includes:
- Blanton Street: Sidewalks and bike lanes separated from the roadway with landscaping
- Shaw Street: A multiuse path separated from the roadway with landscaping
TV Trail Existing and Future Conditions Report
The TV Trail Existing and Future Conditions Report highlights the history of the Tualatin Valley Trail and how it will eventually connect Aloha with the Willamette River and the Pacific Ocean.
The report catalogs traffic and safety characteristics, including an inventory of existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. It also documents planning efforts in the last 10 years, which resulted in over $100 million in transportation investments to improve safety and mobility in Aloha.
Finally, there is an overview of plans and trail design guidance from agency partners in the region, including the Oregon Department of Transportation, Metro, Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District and city of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Department.
