Washington County Department of Housing Services works with several resident, community, and partner boards that help guide housing policy, oversee homeless-services systems, and ensure resident voice. These groups provide recommendations, review plans, and support transparent, community-centered decision making.

Governance boards

Housing Authority Board of Directors

The Housing Authority of Washington County Board of Directors consists of the Washington County Board of Commissioners, plus one At-Large member and one member who receives assistance from the Housing Authority.

Housing Advisory Committee

It is the mission of the Housing Authority Advisory Committee to advise the Board of Commissioners on policy matters, identify housing issues, and recommend programs and services for the low and moderate-income residents of Washington County.

Community and stakeholder advisory bodies

Homeless Solutions Advisory Council

The Homeless Solutions Advisory Council will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to provide oversight and feedback on the Homeless Services Division's work. Members will engage with and promote Washington County’s homelessness response plans, while encouraging collaborative partnerships across a wide array of service systems.

Resident Advisory Board

The Resident Advisory Board provides the Housing Authority and the residents with a forum for sharing information about the Agency's Annual Plan.
