We will improve Walker Road between 173rd and 185th avenues with five lanes, two travel lanes in each direction and continuous center turn lane, with bike lanes and sidewalks.
Other improvements include:
- Replacing the culvert at Willow Creek
- Raise grade of road at Willow Creek crossing by 8-10 feet to improve sight distance and rideability
- Building a traffic signal at 178th Avenue/Cambray Street
- Upgrading storm drainage
- Improving street lighting
- Installing some sound walls
- Installing landscaping
A road closure is need for a culvert replacement, planned for summer 2026.
Construction start (expected): June 2026

5/1/2026: Our contractor hiring process has been delayed. The open house will be rescheduled for a later date.
Utility relocation is expected to begin in late summer. Construction is expected to start in June with a four-month road expected for the culvert replacement.
