Community supervision is a tool to assist adults on supervision (AOS) meet the conditions and expectations of the Court, the Oregon Board of Parole, and the Local Supervising Authority. The end goal is for AOS to live successfully in the community and not return to the Criminal Justice System. Staff help AOS meet this goal by connecting them to community resources that help with long-term stability, such as employment, specialized treatment, and systems of supports.
Probation and Parole has three levels of supervision: Level I, Level II, and Case Bank
Level I Supervision
- Higher risk individuals
- Requires regular face-to-face contact and participation in treatment
- Home visits and drug screening are done as necessary
Level II Supervision

- Usually requires only quarterly contact with a Probation and Parole Officer
- Must follow the conditions of supervision to remain on Level II
Case Bank
- Participant earns their way to case bank by following supervision conditions
- Not required to report in person to their Probation and Parole Officer
