Payments can be made by credit card via the online permitting portal or by check. We cannot accept payments over the phone or email. Do not send bank card information by email.

First-time users will need to first complete the one-time account registration process. Watch the How-to-Register video.
After registering, you can apply for permits and authorizations, track status and search for information.
Make payments with VISA, MasterCard or Discover or electronic check. Customers pay credit-card convenience fees.
Application and Permit Fees
An application fee may be due when submitting a permit applications. Pay application fees using the Public Permitting and Services Portal after permits are set up in our system.
Deposits and Surety Bonds
Some work may require a deposit to make sure all permit conditions are met. Once work is complete, deposits are refundable after a one-year maintenance period.
Some or all of the deposit may be forfeited if:
- More than three inspections are needed
- Work is not completed according to the permit conditions
- We need to make repairs to address a safety issue
If the deposit is more than $500, a performance bond can be submitted for the amount of the deposit above $500. The first $500 must paid for with cash, check or credit card.
